Individual Counseling

Personal experiences, relationship issues, work related issues, career problems among other issues vary from individual to individual. What may be stressful to one person may not be an issue for another. Individual counseling is often sought when a particular issue becomes problematic to the point that it begins affecting our day to day life and even our functioning.
Individual counseling is not only appropriate when something is wrong. Many take a proactive approach and chose to begin the counseling relationship in anticipation of an upcoming event. Sometimes, we do not feel comfortable speaking about our issues due to fear of being judged or even the fear of finding out the mere roots of our troubles. Before the counseling process begins, the individual receives an Evaluation for Services in order to determine the treatment recommended. The services are voluntary; therefore, the individual may decide to continue or withdraw from treatment once the evaluation is completed.
